Goodwill Outlets In New Jersey

There are a total of 2 Goodwill Outlets, or Goodwill Bins, located in New Jersey. These are based in Bellmawr and South Hackensack, New Jersey.

Both these locations are a hotspot for re-sellers and treasure seekers who are willing to dig for some treasure. There’s no doubt that rummaging the Goodwill Outlets is one of the best ways to thrift, due to the likelihood of finding designer clothes and expensive merchandise for a fraction of the price. This is possible because everything at the Goodwill Bins are charged by the pound.

If you’re looking for vintage tee shirts, this is a great spot to try your luck.

But with more re-sellers and vintage collectors than ever before, make sure to come prepared early in the morning with a set of gloves and a large shopping bag, as the Goodwill carts may go quickly. And based on the Goodwill outlet you’re shopping at, shoving between highly competitive shoppers is normal and to be expected. Remember, people make their full-time livings doing this.

If you don’t find anything on your first visit, remember that there are new bins full of items that are rotated every single day. With consistency and a little luck, you’ll be sharpening your thrifting skills and striking gold in no time. Goodluck.

Interesting shopping experience. They bring out a large warehouse full.of rolling tubs full of donated products. You pay 99 cents per pound. Be prepared. There are regulars who are ruthless. It's amazing watching adults tear through (sometimes destroying) items literally throwing them through the air if they don't meet their approval. You can find treasures...especially books. Toys and kid clothes and stuff are abundant. Staff are nice and helpful. A well run store. I give goodwill 5 stars and the regular customers one star.

I haven't been in this location since the summer. The manger gave us no warning and to get off the floor and buy everything in my cart. OR put everything back to the bins? That maybe our stuff will be there when we get back? For new bins? It's first come first serve last time I checked. There was no signage that this was done this way or no warning. Giving this location inconsistencies to other locations in NJ. You should at least give your customer a 15 min warning window to sort through their carts. OR upon greeting or a schedule time you need to be off the floor. The lack of communication is astonishing! Not everyone knows the rules or how differently and POORLY things are running at this location. 😒 Such poor customer service over nothing.

We have been here twice before but today was the first day when the bins had not yet been rotated. 20 minutes into opening they started YELLING at customers to stop shopping and to move! As if were supposed to know! It wouldn't have been a big deal if they employees weren't so RUDE and just ugly about it. All the other reviews about employees say the same thing! Just awful. And they kept yelling at us and one short man from the back said "they must've not heard me" . Mocking the people that were trying to be out of the way! My experience was great till today! We left immediately after.

First time experience at a wholesale location and made out really well on a Monday evening. Found a bunch of nice Stone Mountain purses and Adrienne Etienne shoes. It was really dead but they seemed like they had a good selection still. Glad I didn't have to experience the chaos that supposedly happens here. I will definitely be back!

There is less customer service now then there was before. The tone of voice used when dealing with paying customers is ludicrous. This is not a military school, it’s a place of business. I do not work for the employees, the employees should be providing some basic type of costumer service. Guess what, if the regular shoppers and the first time shoppers don’t like a specific rule change or way of doing things you should take that into consideration. Being told, in a huddle setting like school children, “ if you don’t like how we do something here then go shop somewhere else “ is demeaning and disrespectful. Add that to the obvious fact that donated items are being picked over in the stockroom before being made available to the shoppers ( all good items have a rejection sticker on them or never make it to the bins in the first place ) and you have a recipe for disaster. The “ random “ choosing of the line experiment just keeps getting wackier and wackier and has turned into a power trip/favoritism type of situation. Let the people who have supported your store shop with some respect and dignity.

I’m a huge fan of thrifting and goodwill but basically all their merchandise are in bins that are unorganized. The shoes are separate from the clothing but you might find clothing for children, babies, women and men in the same bin. I’d rather go to a goodwill that has everything organized and on racks.

Completely awful. So many rules for a place with donated clothes… not to mention, none of the rules were explain AT ALL. Me and my friend went today, drove 30 minutes and expected to come home with a bunch of stuff. However we were kicked out within not even two minutes of being in the bin room. One of the main workers began yelling at us for touching clothes in the bins, who I think goes by the name Pedro. We had not been clear of the rules, and neither had others. When we said we did not understand what he was saying, he completely kicked us out of the store, and we were sent home with nothing. I will never be returning because of how me and my friend were treated. This had also happened previously with other employees but this was honestly the last straw. If he had maybe come up to us and explained the rules better, it would’ve been a completely different story. I hope something is done about this.

People complaining need to do their research. This is a goodwill OUTLET which means this is NOT A STORE. If you want the stuff you donate to be treated like new stuff and put on a hanger or on a pretty shelf go to a goodwill STORE to donate your items. This location operates as an outlet which means all donations are placed in bins and shoppers have to basically treasure hunt. I come here quite regularly and always find quite a few things worth buying. Prices are per pound (around $2 per pound) which makes things very inexpensive! I never had an issue shopping here and the employees are very good at managing a big number of shoppers. If you’re up for the challenge, I would recommend you come check it out!

Almost nobody is shopping for themselves, or casually. It's all resellers. Which is fine, everybody has to make a living. But they aren't very friendly. So you probably won't make any new friends here, or have a fun conversation here. And for as crowded, and busy it was, I felt lonely as people completely ignored one another. This place has it's clientele. Unfriendly resellers. But if you're someone there casually on your day off, looking to browse, and have a good time finding something for a deal, go somewhere else.

This a Sudden death thrift. It's like the hunger games of thrifting. I feel like I'm at war when I enter that place. You see clothes flying everywhere. People jumping in front of you for a piece of cloth. People suck. Deals are good tho. Pay by weight
