Goodwill Outlets In Maryland

There’s only 1 Goodwill Outlet, or Goodwill Bins, located in the state of Maryland. During the pandemic, the Goodwill outlet located in Hagerstown, MD, closed permanently.

This Goodwill outlet offers clothes, books and DVDs that are sold by the pound. Other household goods are sold here too, so come prepared to look through piles of merchandise in large blue bins.

If this is your first visit at a Goodwill Outlet, it’s a great place to find valuable items for cheap or re-sell for a profit.

But with more re-sellers and vintage collectors than ever before, make sure to come prepared early in the morning with a set of gloves and a large shopping bag, as the Goodwill carts may go quickly. And based on the Goodwill outlet you’re shopping at, shoving between highly competitive shoppers is normal and to be expected.

If you don’t find anything on your first visit, remember that there are new bins full of items that are rotated every single day. With consistency and a little luck, you’ll be sharpening your thrifting skills and striking gold in no time. Goodluck.

This location is mainly shopped by resellers and families that want to save. The staff treat everyone accordingly. Always friendly and helpful. There are lots of regulars that shop daily. Most people are looking for particular items. Being a regular you get a sense of who’s looking for what. Many platform resellers come daily and a great place to network if your looking to sell online. Be mindful that it does get aggressive at times. Lots of grabbing, tight spaces, crowds around new bins. everyone wants to dig in new bins (remember this is how some people make a living by reselling items from those bins). I wouldn’t recommend bringing children, it’s not kid friendly or safe. Discount days are Monday and Thursday.

I went there this past weekend and witnessed the suppose to be manager walking around screaming and scowling people randomly, as if she’s policing the store Instead of going through pallets in the back boxes & FILLING UP the BINS for the customers that are there to purchase items. Believe every other comment about this woman she is all that and then some, just despicable! The bins are NEVER full, i’ve been here prior to this horrible manager and it seem to be OK but ever since she came on board it appears these bins are cherry picked and EMPTY to be called an OUTLET! Not to mention, the rotation of changing out the bins is a joke. Once a day. When they are changed out a new bin comes out with 10 or so items in it and not worth anyone’s time looking through. I’ve gone to other outlets and they are overflowing this is very unprofessional corporate needs to get involved!

Not a huge selection, but good. We found some bargains and the woman at the register on 8/3/22 at 2pm was very friendly.

I just left after spending almost $40. We avoid this Goodwill due to the disrespectful employees. My son was pushing a popping toy around the store with us. We were going to buy it. He sat it next to our cart. She came over and grabbed it. Very snappy said It's too loud and he can't push it around. Took it. Why not Put the toys up in the bin if you don't want a toddler to push a PUSH toy before purchasing it. She followed my husband around staring at him. It wasn't busy and we were literally just grabbing a few items. The aggresion is just unnecessary. I grabbed a pillow and put in my cart she rolled her eyes and said that's $6. I didn't ask or was even near checking out. Like I was a completely inconvenience. I spend a couple hundred at different Hoodwills for personal use and m business. I was Really disappointed and my husband was really angry. He did have a few words with her.
