Goodwill Outlets In Illinois

Illinois is home to two Goodwill Outlets located in Jacksonville.

While Goodwill.org lists multiple outlets in Illinois, many are corporate offices or have permanently closed, such as the Rockford location which shut down in 2021 during the pandemic.

That being said, the Goodwill Outlet remains a hotspot for treasure seekers willing to roll up their sleeves. Whether you’re searching for personal finds or items to flip for profit, it’s a rewarding endeavor.

Given the growing number of re-sellers and vintage collectors, it’s wise to arrive early equipped with gloves and a roomy shopping bag—Goodwill carts tend to disappear quickly amid the hustle and bustle of competitive shoppers.

If your first visit doesn’t yield treasures, don’t fret. New bins filled with items rotate daily. Stay persistent, keep honing your thrifting skills, and with a bit of luck, you’ll strike gold in no time. Good luck!

This is a great place to shop. Yes, you have to dig in boxes or bins to find things, but the prices are low and its what you expect going into a wearhouse. Wear close toed shoes. No kids under 16 allowed in the shopping area. Workers and shoppers are kind and helpful!

It was my first time. I like it up until a women ripped stuff out of my hand and put it in her cart. Its a great place for resellers to get inventory but just understand people fight for products and the staff are no where to be seen so your on your own. And what little staff are there are teenagers so there not going to be much help anyway.

Drove 2 hours to check it out. Got there they don't allow open toe shoes. Boy it would have been nice to know that before I left home. Pick up shoes at local Walmart. most all glass was broken. so if your going take gloves. Only gave it a 2 star because of the nice man bring thing out super nice.

I love it! This is a great location with lots of variety to choose from. There was a lot of new with tags items as well. A nice selection of items per bin and not overflowing. There are two rows of home items as well which is a lot more than other locations. For the price it is worth it! Children are allowed and it is very neat and organized. I had a nice time!

80% of the bins are clothes which is a let down for me. Not very many bins of miscellaneous items. I was there for over 2 hours & not once was a row of miscellaneous bins were switched out. A lot of items are literal trash & garbage but I mean it’s understandable because it’s not practical to nip pick the bins. I figure the staff just loads up the bins & send them out. Staff is very friendly & place is clean for the time being. My personal opinion I prefer the outlet in Gary Indiana by a long shot. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location unless they add more miscellaneous bins & actively rotate them. If you’re into hunting clothes then you might enjoy it.

I went in today and walked out after 5 minutes. It was was clothes! The clothes wasn’t even organized in color, sizes, gender, kids, etc. It’s literally just kids, men’s, and woman’s clothes dumped on tables. Plus there is no fitting rooms!!! WHAT?! High downfall and failed project.

Takes some digging and patience to find items worthy to take home but makes for a good treasure hunt
